Amerisafe Partners with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana to Provide Christmas Cheer to Beauregard Parish Children

DeRidder, LA — December 10, 2024 — On Friday, December 6, Amerisafe joined forces with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana to bring smiles and holiday cheer to nearly 20 children from Beauregard Parish. The event took place at the DeRidder Walmart, where the festive spirit was in full swing as Amerisafe provided each child with a $100 shopping spree to select gifts for the holiday season.

Amerisafe employees paired up with the Littles, accompanying them on a heartwarming shopping experience. Among the volunteers were Amerisafe staff members who also serve as Bigs in the BBBS SWLA program, making the event even more special as they shared this moment with their mentees.

“It’s truly a joy to see the children’s excitement as they shop for gifts they’ve been dreaming about,” said Jillian Cormier, Big Brothers Bigs Sisters of Southwest Louisiana president. “Our partnership with Amerisafe truly reflects their commitment to supporting our community, especially during the holiday season.”

This unique collaboration underscores the spirit of generosity and community connection. Families, Amerisafe volunteers, and BBBS SWLA staff came together to create lasting memories while demonstrating the transformative impact of mentoring and community involvement. “This is truly a dream come true for my child,” remarked one parent.
