  • Littles complete a fun personality assessment and interview with a BBBS staff member so we can learn all about their interests, hobbies, and preferences! We also chat with their parent or guardian to ensure we're meeting their needs.

    This helps us find the perfect Big who shares their passions, making their time together even more fun and meaningful!

  • Once we find the perfect match and the parent or guardian gives their approval, it's time for the exciting first meeting! Littles and their Bigs meet in a comfortable setting with a BBBS staff member there to help break the ice.

  • The program is completely free for families. BBBS provides mentorship at no cost to ensure all children have access to a caring role model.

  • Yes! Each child will be matched individually with their own Big based on their interests and personality.

  • Parents and guardians are key to a successful match. You’ll be involved in approving your child’s mentor, discussing activities, ensuring safe outings, and staying in contact with our staff to monitor progress.

  • Your child's safety is our top priority. Every mentor undergoes a thorough screening process, including interviews, home assessments, reference checks, and multi-layered background checks. We also provide child safety training to all volunteers.Item description

  • We carefully match Littles with Bigs based on shared interests, personalities, and goals. A pre-match interview helps us get to know your child to find the best possible mentor for them.

  • Matches meet a few hours a couple of times a month for at least one year. Activities range from playing games and exploring hobbies to simply spending quality time together.
