Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana Name Jillian Cormier Chief Executive Officer

Lake Charles, LA — January 16, 2025— Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana has named Jillian Cormier, MBA, chief executive officer. Cormier, a veteran staff member of the agency, is entering the role after serving most recently as interim chief executive officer and previously BBBS’s chief impact officer.

“I am extremely honored to be serving in this new leadership role. My six years of experience with the agency as well as my community work as a mental health case manager have perfectly aligned me for this position,” Cormier said. “I am blessed to be assuming this position at a time when the agency is strong and supported by dedicated staff members, board members and donors alike. Together, I truly believe we will shape Southwest Louisiana into a community where all youth, no matter their background, achieve their full potential.”

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana was recently named the “Nonprofit of the Year” by Fusion Five, received the “Growth Award” by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and was honored with a “Gold Badge for Excellence and Quality” by Big Brothers Big Sisters of America.

“I am committed to building upon the strong foundation and positive reputation our agency has developed over its 45-plus years in the region,” she said.

While Big Brother Big Sisters’ local offices are in Lake Charles, expanding its presence across the six-parish region is a major focus point for Cormier as she makes plans for 2025. “I’m committed to ensuring that every child that needs a quality, positive influence in their life experiences the gift of mentorship. Making and supporting quality matches is and always will be the bedrock of what we do as an organization, and I can’t wait to expand our incredible mission in our surrounding parishes.”
